Despite the exceptionally hot and humid weather, a great time was had by all competitors and we hope to see them again for the Y2k Bell Fruit - SCPA Open.

Suffolk County Pool Association would like to thank Premier Pool Club for hosting the event and Bell Fruit for their generous sponsorship.

Friday Flyer Results:-

The weekend kicked off with a Friday Night Flyer starting at 8.00 pm. Matches were best of five throughout. The event was well attended and there were some good performances from Suffolk players Justin Saunders and George Barker. After getting through the first round, Justin didn't lose a frame until reaching the semi finals where he lost 3-1 to World Junior Champion Tim Singh. In the other half of the draw, George was playing well, gradually clearing the field to meet former World Champion Carl Morris in the semis. This was to be a tough match but George persevered to beat Carl 3-2 and gain a place in the final. George continued to play superbly. The final went to 2-2 and George was looking like winning but unfortunately one mistake was enough to let Tim Singh in to clear the table and take the final 3-2.
